LOVE this book!

I used to be a letter-writer. Letters played an important roll in my life. And I´ve enjoyed travelling alot. (Preferring the back-packing style) Somehow it feels like writing and reading all of your journals will be bringing back some of that into my life!

I'm working on my book....two pages remain....deeply impressed by what I've seen from you up to now......becoming sligthly a maniac because things don't work out like I want them to...things I had already doodled down don't satisfy me anymore....
I think this weird state is called final-spurt or stage-fright
anyone in a similiar state ??

{It's Bound!}

I've actually bound my journal! FINALLY! Now I can just work on my inside pages and it'll be ready to go. I've bound in 64 pages, so each of you can have 4-6 pages or 2-3 spreads to work on. The cover's a little busy...I went kinda crazy! It's 8 in. by 8 in.

I am really excited about this project. It's going to be so fun!

Thanks Uschi for compiling everything and mailing them to us. Just one question, if I read the excel sheet correctly, I'm supposed to mail my journal to Dawn right? :) May I know when is the date we're supposed to post them? I was working on mine yesterday. It was so relaxing... Hehehe, contrary to all of you here, I'm not very good in craft but I love love love being creative and explore. I can't wait to be inspired by everyone else :)

How long.....

I sent the exel files out today!!

We'll have to see how long it will take for the books to reach the next contibutor.

I received a parcel from the US some days ago......it needed six weeks..... :(So this is my suggestion:You'll have 4 weeks to work on each book. If you can send it earlier- the better.If you can foresee, that you won't have the time, we could skip you once and this book will reach you later.

Information is the half thing ( blabla!)

Please take photos of the pages you've done. If any book should disappear by bad bad mishap, we can so give the owner a small substitute.

Ready to go!

well...almost. This is a "Thé des écrivains" journal with different colour pages and I add some white ones to have the right number. I am finishing the pages inside. Having fun.

I am also collecting some "miscelaneos" to send to you at the same time. Little cards or papers that may be used as inspiration or to make collages, some stamps as well. I collect stamps! so please prefer them when you are sending me the journals. Any other suggestions?

Last week Amy has retired from our project, because she has the possibility to study overseas!!What a progress from a travelling journals writer to a travelling lady. Congratulation!!
But we have two new interested people, I hope they'll sign in!

My book is improving...Since it has very large pages, I decided to have only 3 double-pages for everybody.....
I've got all your adresses and I'm astonished how different every adress looks depending on the country, you live in ;)) I will create a list for everybody and I will create an exel-chart, where every "journey" of every book is marked.....

July in progress

I found the cover I wanted in my pile of old texts...once the original text block was removed it was the perfect size and feel for my travelling journal. A new text block was made using some medium weight mixed media paper and July is underway....
